CPP-NPA announce truce for peace talks

MANILA (UPDATE) - The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and its furnished wing, the New People's Army (NPA) on Friday announced a 7-day one-sided truce taking after the brief arrival of their individuals who will partake in peace chats with the administration.

The CPP, in an announcement, said the truce will produce results beginning 12:01 a.m. on August 21 and will last until 11:59 p.m. on August 27.
